Join Ramananda John E. Welshons for this enlivening, transformational workshop. We will explore the spiritual significance of challenges and difficulties that inevitably arise in the course of human life. We will learn how to move past disappointments – like the death of a loved one, divorce, loss of job or difficult health issues, and how to keep our hearts open in the midst of difficult conditions in our world. We will learn how to loosen the grip of fear and anger, and how to use these experiences as fuel for spiritual growth. This workshop is for anyone who has experienced loss or disappointment, and struggles to understand how to process these experiences from the “spiritual” point of view. It is also for those who experience sadness or fear about world events, and the often shallow values our culture holds.
Participants will learn the following:
* Spiritual approaches for dealing with unwanted change, disappointment, and difficult emotions
* Deeper understanding of the seasons of life, and the unique elements, nuances and stages of life
* How to work with feelings of fear, anger, guilt, and numbness
* How to deal with the deep yearnings and longings that arise in the aftermath of a loss or disappointment
* How to address the unanswerable questions and spiritual issues that arise in our minds
* Experience the restorative benefits of breathing, meditation, and yoga
* Learn how to be free by “letting go of the person you used to be”
