Finding Yourself in Transition
Thursdays February 12th- March 26th (6 classes)
6:30-8:30 PM
Facilitated by Angela Denton MA; P.D. MFT
Change is part of life. We see it reflected all around us in nature as the seasons and our landscape transform every few months right before our eyes. Many changes can be exciting and we welcome them with open arms like when we witness the miraculous birth of a little one into this world. All too frequently, however, we experience unexpected changes that are not welcomed and we experience both emotional and physical pain. It is during these times we feel alone and even question our faith and wonder if God truly exists. Robert Brumet in Finding Yourself in Transitionguides us to discover the deeper meaning in the disturbing, unsettling events that happen in our individual lives and in the world. Brumet offers a road map for us to navigate our way through life’s transitions and to help us discover that within major life transitions are opportunities for spiritual rebirth and new life.
During class sessions we will explore the following:
- The paradox of change
- The process of transformation
- Rites of passages
- Navigating through endings, the void, and new beginnings
- Surrendering to the ebb and flow of life
