“Meditation is to be aware of what is going on: in your body, in your feelings, in your mind, and in the world.”
- Thich Nhat Hanh
There are various forms of meditation in this tradition, such as sitting, walking, eating and mindful reading and discussing. As a practice of awareness in sitting meditation, one stops, is still, calming the mind and body. From a quiet, still place one can gain insight into a deeper understanding of patterns of thinking and feeling which affect our life. With some practice, this can lead to a growing capacity to be present to oneself and to the world. We are fortunate to meet with a community of friends who support each other toward a greater sense of peace and well-being. We welcome anyone who is interested in joining us.
