BUTTTERFLY RELEASE
Metaphysically, the butterfly is a symbol of Spiritual Transformation. Native American tradition promises that if you whisper a desire as you are releasing the butterfly, the Universe will grant your wish.
This will be Unity Church by the Shore’s 4th Annual Butterfly Release. It has drawn many who continue to ask if we are having it this year. And we ask our congregants to spread the word. The butterflies can be purchased in advance at the church and they will be distributed and released the day of the event at the park.

On Thursday, September 9, 2010 thousands of people will join Silent Unity – an international, trans-denominational 24/7 prayer ministry – and Unity churches around the world for the 17th annual Unity World Day of Prayer. This year’s theme is “Living in the Flow” and the prayer of affirmation is “We are living expressions of Divine light flowing forth into the world.”
The evening of September 9th, Unity Church by the Shore will be holding a World Day of Prayer service from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, kicking off 11 days of “World Prayer”, culminating in recognition of World Peace Day on September 20, 2010. In honor of this, Unity Church by the Shore will be rededicating its Peace Pole after Sunday services, at 1:00 pm on September 19, 2010.
Meditation and Music Concert: "Awakening Spirit"
On Sunday, August 22 Karen Baxter will be performing special music at the service followed by a 1:00 pm Meditation and Music Concert: "Awakening Spirit" -- "to assist individuals in going within and experiencing themselves as Spirit and sharing music inspired by the "Oneness and Love of our True Self". ~ Love Offering of $15.

Monthly Healing Circle
Second Sunday of each month at 12:30 P.M. at the church. Join us in community as we gather once a month to reinforce the teaching of Myrtle Fillmore (co-founder of Unity) and her practice of prayer-based healing. With meditation, prayer and healing sound vibrations of Tibetan bowls and gongs, we offer healing to ourselves, one another and the broader community/world. Unity chaplains, Reiki practitioners and energy workers circulate.
